First Time Tips
What to expect
- We can't wait to welcome you with a special gift. Stop by our welcome desk in the lobby, or email us ahead of time at welcome@sthilary.org.
- Mass is about an hour, and kids are always welcome.
- At most Masses we offer the option of sitting indoors or outside in our beautiful plaza area.
- When it comes to what to wear, be yourself. You'll see everything from business casual to jeans and t-shirts.
- We offer several styles of Mass. Our 5 PM Saturday is more traditional in feel, while our 9 AM, 11 AM and 5 PM Sunday Masses offer contemporary praise and worship music. Our 7:30 AM Mass is shorter because there is no music.
- If you're not Catholic, we want you to feel totally comfortable. Most of the responses are projected on our monitors. If you're not sure what to do, check in at the welcome desk — our greeters will make you feel right at home.
For Kids
Your entire family is welcome
We love kids, and children are always welcome at any Mass. If your little ones get a little fussy, that's okay. If you prefer, you can always move to our plaza area or the vestibule of the church, where you can see and hear everything going on at Mass.
We also offer Jesus Jam — our high-energy, interactive, multimedia faith enrichment program for kids 3 and up — during the Sunday 9 AM Mass. Pre-registration is not required, so just drop in.
We offer a comprehensive faith formation program for children from Kindergarten through 8th grade, including sacramental preparation for First Communion and Confirmation.
